The Town Council of the Town of Marlinton will hold a regular meeting Wednesday, the 9th day of June, 2010, beginning at 7 p.m., prevailing time, in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, Marlinton, West Virginia.

Hear Mayor’s Report
Hear and act on a drawdown request for the Waste Water Treatment Plant – Storm Water Project – Region IV.
Hear and act on drainage problems around the Hefner residence - Jessica Hefner.
Hear and act on complaints regarding sewer system problems on Hamilton Hill.
Hear and act on drainage problems at New Vision Praise and Worship at 215 Fifth Street.
Review and act on a contract for Potesta.
Hear and act on a request to underwrite festival coverage on WVMR.
Hear and act on a Water and Sewer budget for USDA.
Hear and act on proposed water system rate changes.
Hear and act on a proposed Sewer System Asset Management Plan.
Discuss and act on concerns and resolutions to fire damaged and other dilapidated properties.
Hear and act on recommendations regarding the purchase of a CodeRED emergency notification system.
Hear and act on concerns regarding speeding on Third Avenue and the recommendation to install stop signs and/or, children at play signs in intersections. Also consider installing speed bumps in alleys where speeding is a problem.
Hear building inspection / mold condition report then, discuss and act on insurance related concerns identified by the Board of Risk inspection – Norris Long.
Hear and act on recommendations from the Trailer committee which could include ordinance revisions and/or clarifications regarding the placement of travel trailers in town.
Hear and act on a request to make the public aware of the FEMA grant program available to apply for to elevate structures within the Town’s floodplain.
Hear and act on a request to provide funding for the purchase of fireworks for the 4th of July celebration.
Take action on the mural design approval to document action by the Council.
Hear a report on “Go Marlinton” – Dave Zorn.
Make amendments to the Flood Plain Ordinance and hold first reading.
Act on a request to authorize payment of the bills.
