The Town Council of the Town of Marlinton will hold a regular meeting Wednesday, the 14th day of October, 2009, beginning at 7 p.m., prevailing time, in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, Marlinton, West Virginia.
The agenda for the meeting is set forth below.
Agenda topics
• Call to Order/Roll Call
• Reading and Approval of Prior Council Meeting Minutes
• Hear Mayor’s Report
• Hear and act on a drawdown request for the Brush Country Water Project – Teri Kiser.
Old Business
• Hear and act on a request from a business owner to issue a variance to the garbage fee ordinance or otherwise offer relief for businesses – Neal Kellison.
• Hear update from personnel-wage committee.
New Business
• Hear and act on a proposal from the owner of the Marlinton Motor Inn in reference to land and a swimming pool.
• Set the date for Halloween Trick-or-Treat Celebration in Town.
• Act on a request to send letters of thanks regarding flood protection project support.
• Consider and act to resolve problems with the water plant truck.
• Hear a request from the Opera House Foundation to authorize the installation/construction of a Storage Building next to the Opera House.
• Hear and act on matters and concerns relating to the police department as well as a request from Officer Vaughan.
• Set the date for the regular November Council meeting.
• Act on a request to authorize payment of the bills.
